University of Essex Centre for Coastal Communities
The development will include space for the University of Essex’s new Centre for Coastal Communities which aims to show how research can champion the interests of our coastal areas. The space will include a large seminar area and multi-purpose offices for research and public engagement activities.
The Centre, which is part of the University’s Institute for Public Health and Wellbeing, will be listening to local communities and working with local people to identify how it can help tackle the challenges coastal communities face and support people to take advantage of the opportunities these areas offer.
It will be working in partnership with service users, the public, policy makers and frontline professionals to set its agenda.
